Content: PowerPoint Presentation (24 Slides) (editable text) Lesson Plan Worksheets (x6) Life Cycle Pumpkin Mats and Cards (Pictures and Photos) Arrows to use with mats Flash Cards 2 Word Searches with Solutions (Easy and More challenging) Preparation is required: For long use laminate the Life Cycle of a Pumpkin Mat and cut out the picture cards and labels for hands-on work. Laminate the flash cards these show real photos and b/w pictures. They can be used to review the life cycle. PowerPoint Presentation - (Editable text) Play in Slide Show mode for animation - You can start the presentation From Beginning or Current Slide. It starts with an introduction to create interest. You can bring in a pumpkin and/or use the pumpkin on the slide to start the lesson off. The presentation goes through each stage of the cycle. There is whole class interaction with the presentation and review questions. Lesson Plan - This is flexible and starts with an introduction and then the main activity. I’ve included the presentation slide numbers for ease. Although you can just play through the PowerPoint . The plan states learning objectives and learning outcomes and the resources needed to carry out the lesson. Differentiated Worksheets Worksheets 1 and 2: Read and trace over words and cut/paste activity An extra worksheet shows 4 main stages of the life cycle. Worksheet 3: Colour and b/w: This shows the 6 stages of the life cycle. Students label each stage. Once labelled, they fill in the missing words in the 6 sentences. Worksheets 4 and 4a: Cut and paste activity. Students cut out the pictures and correctly glue them in the correct order on the life cycle diagram and then label the boxes. Worksheet 5: Writing in order to sequence the pumpkin’s stages of growth. Worksheet 6 (Optional Extension): Detailed writing for more able writers. This worksheet contains useful vocabulary which students can use to write a more detailed explanation of the life cycle using the information gained from the PowerPoint presentation and the life cycle diagram on the worksheet. Hand-ons: The Life Cycle of a Pumpkin mat and cards can be used for students to talk about the life cycle placing the cards in the correct order. One mat shows real photos and the other mat pictures. Arrows are included which you can laminate and cut apart for this activity. The product also includes PDF fillable boxes task cards so that students can complete the cards on computer devices. Prep work: Option to laminate task cards, and cut out the equation cards/strips and paste onto worksheets or in students’ workbooks. This reading comprehension bundle includes 4 lovely fiction stories. The vocabulary is age-appropriate and children are encouraged to work out the meaning of words in the context of the story. The subject matters are familiar to the children and so there are cross-curricular themes. The booklets cater for all level of readers - The Chase being the easiest. Booklets 2 are divided into sections. So each paragraph is followed by questions. Some of the questions require the reader to 'read between the lines'. Not only is a child's comprehension assessed but other English key skills are incorporated. The resource can be given to more able pupils to work on independently. The booklets can also be used in guided reading sessions. The questions are extensive so the children can answer a set of questions in one session and do another set of questions in another session.

This product relates to UK sterling money pounds and pence. Its aim is to encourage students to use different skills to find solutions to a two-step problem. Aimed at: Keystage 1/Lower Keystage 2. Ideal for revising adding up coins and to finding how much more money to pay for an item. The worksheets start off with small denominations and then it increases to 50p and £1. There are 60 differentiated worksheets. Worksheet 1 - up to 10p (11 pages) Worksheet 2 - up to 20p (11 pages) Worksheet 3 - up to 30p (12 pages) Worksheet 4 - up to 50p (12 pages) Worksheet 5 - up to £1.00 (14 pages) <strong>Description: </strong> The worksheet is divided into 3 columns. Slide 5: Students are asked to identify the difference between the two recipes for hardtack and ANZAC biscuits. Slides 7: The presentation ends with a review and questions on the topic. <strong>Reading Comprehension</strong> The reading comprehension is divided into four sections from A to D. In each section there are four questions to answer. This resource is on New Zealand currency - 10c, 20c, 50c, $1.00 and $2.00 coins Aimed at: Keystage 1/2 The worksheets are in colour and black and white. WITH ANSWER SHEETS Each of the four worksheets contain a variety of tasks for students to complete on the topic of buying school stationery. Worksheet 1 - Students look at the pictures and price of each item and then work out how much two items of school supplies cost. Two questions at the bottom: Which student spent the most? Which student spent the least amount of money? Worksheet 2 - This worksheet is similar to the above except students are working out what 3 items of school stationery cost. Worksheet 3 - Students answer 6 questions about the items, e.g. Which item is the most expensive? How much less does the sharpener cost than the ruler? etc. The next task is to write the new price for each item which has risen by 10 cents. Worksheet 4 - The first task is to write the new price of the items which have risen by 30 cents. Second task - to add up 3 items of school supplies at the new price. Worksheet 5 - Sale Now On! - Students reduce the price of each item by 20 cents. They then recalculate the items of stationery bought. <strong>Additional worksheets: </strong> Drawing coins to match the price tags - students use the fewest number of coins as many times as they can. Add up the coins and write the total on the price tag for each object shown. Challenge: Students add up all the prices on the tags and write the total amount of money spent.
